TLS as president, one page, 7.25 x 9, black-bordered Executive Mansion letterhead, October 1, 1901. Brief letter to Mrs. Greenville Kane, wife of a "Tuxedo Park Club" member, an exclusive club of men responsible for popularizing in the U.S. the jacket style now known as the tuxedo. In full: “It was very sweet of you to send me the little charm, which has just come. Edith has taken possession of it.” In fine condition, with a uniform shade of mild toning.
