Vintage matte-finish 10 x 8 signed photo of the Mercury 7 astronauts with a model of a rocket, signed in various inks in the lower border, all signing with their less common ‘formal’ signatures: Alan B. Shepard, Jr., John H. Glenn, Jr., Virgil I. Grissom, M. Scott Carpenter, Walter M. Schirra, Jr., Donald K. Slayton, and Leroy G. Cooper. Photo is also inscribed at the top by Glenn, “Best regards to Sandra from the Mercury Astronauts.” In fine condition, with Schirra’s signature a few shades light, but completely legible, some irregular ink adhesion to Carpenter’s signature, a few mild surface creases, and a bit of trivial silvering.
