Virginia’s governor, a direct ancestor of two presidents, vouches for a worthy friend

Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Virginia (1726-1791). Harrison was the father of President William Henry Harrison and great-grandfather of President Benjamin Harrison. LS signed “Benj. Harrison,” one page, 6.25 x 7.25, October 10, 1784. Letter to an unidentified gentleman regarding a “worthy friend.” In part: “In case he should want money, his Bill on my House at Richmond will be good for whatever sum he requires.” In very good condition, with intersecting folds, scattered creasing, and mild soiling. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
