Presidential pardon for mail fraud

DS as president, one page both sides, 9 x 13.5, June 22, 1950. In full, “Whereas Sidney M. Feldman pleaded nolo contendere in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland to an indictment, No. 19993, charging violation of Section 338, Title 18, United States Code, and on October thirtieth, 1943, was sentenced to pay a fine of Two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) and costs, which he duly paid; and Whereas it has been made to appear to me that the acts charged against the said Sidney M. Feldman did not constitute an offense against the United States: Now, therefore, be it known, that I, Harry S. Truman, President of the United States of America, in consideration of the premises, divers other good and sufficient reasons me thereunto moving, do hereby grant unto the said Sidney M. Feldman a full and unconditional pardon…” Signed at the conclusion in black ink by Truman, and countersigned by Attorney General J. Howard McGrath. Section 338 Title 18 of the US Code concerns using the US mail to defraud. Expected folds, a few creases, staple hole to top edge, and some scattered light mild toning and soiling, otherwise fine condition. The red wax seal is crisp and intact.
