Vintage glossy 10 x 8 publicity photo of a shirtless James Dean, signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint, “To Sally, my best wishes, James Dean.” In fine condition, with scattered creasing with somewhat heavier horizontal creasing near the top, and some silvering to the darker portions of the image. Accompanied by an LOA from David Loehr, James Dean archivist at the James Dean Memorial Gallery in Fairmount, Indiana. Dean is notably scarce in all forms, especially signed photos; this is a particularly unusual pose that we have never encountered before. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
