Endorsement, signed as president, “Andrew Johnson,” on an Executive envelope, dated June 12, 1865. Johnson forwards the application of John Noble for his appointment as Marshal of the Northern District of Alabama to the Attorney General. Matted and framed with a portrait of Johnson, to an overall size of 12.25 x 10. In fine condition, with a couple light spots to writing, and several pencil marks, none affecting Johnson’s signature. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
