The hero famous for saying “Nuts” while besieged at Bastonge and the man sent to save him

Ink signature, “G. S. Patton, Jr, South Hamilton, Mass,” on an off-white slip; and a ballpoint signature, “A. B. McAuliffe” on a light blue slip. Both are suede matted and shadowboxed with a photo of each general and a commemorative special limited edition medallion, to an overall size of 20.75 x 16.5. In fine condition, with some scattered light soiling to Patton’s signature, and a light crease to McAuliffe’s. The medallion included in the display was produced in 1945 by the citizens of Bastogne from the scrap metal of armaments left after the battle, and given to members of the 101st Airborne Division (McAulliffe's Division which defended Bastogne). Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
