Description

After landing in Boston, the Fab Four sign for a crafty Pan Am mechanic

Vintage ballpoint signatures and inscription, “To Mary Anne, Paul McCartney,” “George Harrison,” “Ringo Starr,” and “John Lennon,” on an off-white 5 x 3 slip. Consignor indicates the signatures were originally obtained by her father, a Pan Am airline mechanic, when the Beatles came to Boston, Massachusetts. Once the plane landed, he went on board and obtained the signatures on a slip he was compiling a receipt upon. In very good condition, with light overall creasing and wrinkling, with three vertical folds lightly affecting a few letters of signature, staple hole to left side, and some light border toning. Pre-certified Roger Epperson/REAL and RRAuction COA.
