Description

Rare Eisenhower White House card with provenance from Ike’s secretary

Rare signed White House card, nicely signed in black ink, “Dwight D. Eisenhower.” In fine condition, with a uniform shade of mild toning and mounting and adhesive remnants to reverse. While similar to one of Eisenhower’s known autopen patterns, this example distinctly differs in one point: its clearly-formed “er” at the end of the surname. A very scarce and authentically signed White House card, accompanied by its original letter of transmittal from Ike’s secretary Ann Whitman, which states: “At the President’s request, I am happy to send you an autographed White House card to add to your collection.” Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
