As we walked by the Oval Office the door was open…. Robert Kennedy stood in the open door. Vice President L.B.J. stood in the hall with his arms folded…. J.F.K. jumped up, and said he was very, very sorry but he had to leave. While he was dressing he said, ‘Boy, if Fidel Castro had something like you he would think more about making love, and less about making war. I said, Why did you say that? J.F.K. said, Oh, I was just thinking out loud’…. I didn’t realize until I saw the evening news on TV, that the President had left the Cuban Missile Crises [sic] meeting, to spend a short time, (very short) with me. I really felt proud of myself. Keeping my President calm, in his hour of great desision [sic] making. I did my part for my country that day.” Starr has also added color sketches of a nude torso, a shooting star, a rose, and a lipstick-print kiss. In fine condition.
