Hancock calls for a staff meeting during the final year of his life

Third-person ALS, signed in the text as “The Governor,” one page, 7 x 5.75, March 26, 1793. Hancock hopes to arrange a meeting. In full: “The Governor presents his Complimts. to the Lieut. Governor & the Gentlemen of the Council, and requests their meeting at his house tomorrow morning half past 9 o’clock, & to honour him with their Company at Dinner on the same Day…. The favr. is also asked of the Secretary….” Hancock died on October 8 of the same year. In very good to fine condition, with a block of toning to left half of sheet and faint show-through of mounting remnant and ink docket on reverse.
