Scottish golfer (1872-1963). He was a native of the "Home of Golf" St. Andrews. He won the 1893 Open Championship, at the age of 21 years and 24 days and he remains the second youngest Open Champion. Very rare vintage fountain pen signature, “Wm. Auchterlonie,” on a closely trimmed off-white slip, affixed to a 6 x 4 light pink album page. In fine condition, with some mild toning and soiling.
