Archivally double float matted and framed with a gorgeous portrait to an overall size of 14.5 x 20. Also present on the reverse of the frame is the original mailing envelope, addressed in Garbo’s hand. A choice example in very fine condition.
Garbo lived the last years of her life in absolute seclusion in a self-imposed exile. Even so, she clearly wanted her surroundings kept tidy, and at age 75, enlisted the professional house-cleaning service identified here. Though frugal, reclusive, and wealthy, the actress made certain she could see the world through her windows! Items signed by Garbo are rarely encountered, with fans often sifting through her garbage for decades looking for handwritten items. They could not have hoped for a better example than this.
