Allen agrees to write his first screenplay, What’s New Pussycat?

DS, two pages, 8.5 x 11, September 10, 1963. Agreement between Allen and Famous Artists Productions for Allen to write a screenplay for a film tentatively entitled Lot’s Wife, for a fee of $30,000. Signed on the second page in blue ballpoint by Allen, who has also initialed the first page twice. Lot’s Wife would be renamed What’s New Pussycat?, and would mark Allen’s film debut, as well as his first produced script. In fine condition, with staple and punch holes to top, and a few light creases. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
