Visiting Granada to inspect the Kingdom of the Moors conquered by Spain, Isabella orders a payment to one of her servants

Manuscript DS, in Spanish, signed “Yo la Reyna [I the Queen],” one page, 8.5 x 11.5, September 26, 1499. Written from Granada, Isabella signs an order to her chamberlain, Sancho de Paredes, to pay her servant Maria de Medina 1,000 maravedis, a receipt to be obtained. Manuscript receipt signed by Maria in lower portion of document. Intersecting folds, small chip to lower right corner, tape repairs to diagonal cancellation cuts, one lightly affecting signature, and some scattered light wrinkling, otherwise fine, clean condition. Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand visited Granada in September 1499 to inspect the Kingdom of the Moors conquered by Spain in 1491. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
