Heavyweight boxing champion of the world, 1932–33. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of Sharkey in his prime, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To J. S. Stamm, Regards, Jack Sharkey.” Matted and framed with an original $3.50 onsite full used/punched ticket to the August 18, 1936 bout between Sharkey and Joe Louis at Yankee Stadium (this was Sharkey’s last fight; he was knocked out by Louis in the third round). Light contrast to portions of signature and inscription, and a bit of scattered light surface marks and silvering, and a punch hole to ticket, otherwise fine condition.
