Ink signature, “U. S. Grant” on an off-white 5 x 2.5 slip, clipped from a larger document. Accompanied by an original carte-de-visite of Grant, taken in Cairo, Ohio in September of 1861, as well as a program from Grant’s 1885 memorial service in Rhode Island. In very good condition, with bisecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, small tear to bottom edge, and scattered toning. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
