One of the most important architects of the nuclear age

Physicist (1901-1954). While studying the creation of artificially radioactive isotopes in the 1930s, Fermi became the first physicist to split the atom and was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1938 for his developments in harnessing nuclear power. Scarce ink signature, “Enrico Fermi,” on an off-white 5 x 6.25 sheet, folded to a size of 5 x 3.25. Vertical fold through a single letter of last name of signature, and a bit of scattered light soiling, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
