Beautifully signed in blue ballpoint on the reverse of the first free end page, “Walt Disney.” Accompanied by a 1995 TLS to Disney expert Phil Sears from the original owner stating, in part: “On April 20, 1959, while employed as a Guild Extra on the Walt Disney Production, Toby Tyler, or Ten Weeks with a Circus, I bought a hardcover copy of Walt Disney’s the art of Animation…It was my good fortune that Mr. Disney visited the set on the back-lot that afternoon, and graciously honored my request for his autograph…I can absolutely vouch for its authenticity, as he signed it directly before me.” Book is also accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Phil Sears. A bit of mild toning to the ends of some pages, some scattered light toning to cover boards, and spine just a touch weak, otherwise fine condition. The dustjacket shows edge chipping, several tears, areas of repaired paper loss, and substantial areas of peeling emulsion. Disney’s bold signature measures a full 6” long!
