The 1929 Pleiades, Fullerton Union High School’s yearbook, 8 x 10.75, signed inside in fountain pen on the photo of the school’s baseball team, “Floyd Vaughan,” and signed next to his senior portrait “Willard Hershberger.” Hershberger has the distinction of being the only major league player to date to commit suicide during the season. Yearbook is also signed throughout by other students. In fine condition, with expected age and handling wear, and some light rubbing to covers. Interesting to note that both of these players met untimely, tragic deaths-Hershberger by suicide and Vaughan by drowning. Pre-certified Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
