LS, one page, lightly-lined, 5 x 8, State of Tennessee letterhead, November 24, 1864. Letter to S. D. Campbell arranging a meeting before his departure. In part: “I will see you before I visit Washington City, and will take great pleasure in conferring with you freely and fully upon the subject matter of your letter…Accept my thanks for the kind and complimentary manner which you have been pleased to allude to one, who claims so little.” In fine condition, with a mild shade of toning, and a few small spots of light soiling.
