Superlative signed photo of the famed band leader–turned-soldier
Popular big band leader (1904–1944). In 1942, Miller joined the U.S. Air Force and organized the Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band to entertain the troops. In December 1944, on a flight from England to Paris, the plane Miller was traveling in disappeared over the English Channel and was never found. Exceptional glossy 8 x 10 photo of a smiling Miller posing with his trombone, signed in fountain pen, “Sincerely. A few tiny, trivial dings and spots, otherwise very fine, fresh condition. A superb example—certainly one of the finest and most nicely preserved images of Miller you’re ever likely to encounter! R&R COA.
