Had a lengthy career playing villains and charming heels very believably. He killed himself in 1972. His suicide note read, “Dear World, I am leaving you because I am bored. I feel I have lived long enough. I am leaving you with your worries in this sweet cesspool - good luck.” Amazing vintage sepia matte-finish 8 x 10 portrait of a young and seemingly very happy(!) Sanders, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Nadine Adams.” In fine condition, with a couple of mild corner bends. “1938” is written in the upper border, perhaps in another hand. R&R COA.
