Description

American radio and television pioneer who proposed the first commercial radio receiver and in 1926 formed the National Broadcasting Company. Sarnoff is credited with suggesting that radios could be used for entertainment, predicting that they would become commonplace household items, and he was instrumental in the development of television. Vintage 7 x 9 bust portrait of the very dignified looking Mr. Sarnoff, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Basil O’Connor with my best wishes, David Sarnoff ‘43.” The portrait is double matted and framed to an overall size of 12.5 x 14.5. In fine condition. R&R COA.
