In part: “I called at the Booth house yesterday to enquire about the old marble fire-place, concerning which you will perhaps remember we formerly had some conversation…I wish to preserve it as a relic, and if you will allow me to remove it, will put in its place such a fire-place as you may desire.” In fine condition, with slight edge toning, a few areas of slight discoloration, a small area of paper loss at top left corner affecting nothing, and 1846 written in pencil in another hand near the date.
