Vintage glossy 3.5 x 5.5 postcard photo of the legendary pitcher with his dog on his 80th birthday, March 29, 1947, signed on the reverse in fountain pen, "May 3, 1948, Cy Young." An affixed label on the reverse indicates that it was received in 1948, and the image on the front has an inherent facsimile signature in white. In very good to fine condition, with light postal impressions and creases to the photo side, and an affixed label covering the descending strokes of the signature. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope and a secretarial note, stating that two of his good friends are early ballplayers William Carrigan and Fred Parent.
