Appealing 27.5 x 31.5 poster of a Richard Avedon portrait entitled 'John Lennon, 1940-1980,' signed below in pencil, "Avedon." Rolled and in very good to fine condition, with scattered light spotting (some touching Lennon's face), and a scratch to the upper right corner of the image. The original photograph was isolated from a panoramic portrait of the Beatles taken by Avedon in 1967 during the same sessions that produced the iconic psychedelic images that were exclusively featured in Look magazine in the U.S., Stern Magazine in Europe, and the Daily Express Newspaper in the U.K.
