Boston: Sib Hashian's Army Field Uniform with Boots and Helmet

Description

Vietnam War-era official United States Army field coat and trousers issued to Sib Hashian as an officer in the Ordnance Unit of the 4th Infantry Division. The standard OG (olive green) 107 Class 1 Rip-Stop cotton coat, size extra small regular, features a name patch to right chest, “Hashian,” service branch patch to left, “U.S. Army,” an Ordnance insignia patch to left lapel, and 4th Infantry Division and U.S. Army Vietnam Subdued shoulder sleeve insignia; inner collar and interior of bottom right cargo pocket retain original measurement and instruction tags. The matching Rothco Ultra Force BDU (battle dress uniform) trousers, size medium regular, polyester/cotton, feature waist adjustments belts and draw cords to bottom of each pant leg; inner waist section retain original measurement and instruction tags. Also included with the uniform are Hashian’s Army-issued ‘fifth type’ combat boots and M1 helmet. The well-worn boots contain faded markings on the interior, with both initialed “SH,” feature black leather toe and heel boxes and green nylon duck upper sides, with two drainage eyelets and anti-mud traction Panama soles. The steel helmet contains a liner with six-point suspension system, adjustable web straps, and headband, with tape to interior annotated “Lt. Michael J. Ewing, 219-44-8993,” and marked in ballpoint, “Sib’s.” In overall very good to fine condition, with expected wear from use.
