Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 22 x 17, July 30, 1886. President Cleveland appoints David W. Hutchinson of Girard, Pennsylvania as a "Receiver of Public Moneys at Bismarck, Dakota." Signed at the conclusion by Cleveland, and countersigned by Secretary of the Interior Lucius Q. C. Lamar. Rolled and in fine condition, with light edge creasing. Accompanied by the rare presence of the original metal mailing tube from the Department of the Interior.
