Description

Four items signed in felt tip or ballpoint by Tom Stafford: a TLS, one page, 7 x 8.5, February 23, 1977, in part: "Thank you so very much for your letter and your remembrances of the space missions that I flew. I certainly do know your Arizona friend, Robert McCall, and saw him recently at Edwards"; a TLS, one page, 8 x 10.5, NASA letterhead, February 15, 1972, in part: "Thank you so very much for your congratulatory letter concerning my nomination for promotion to Brigadier General. I am certainly looking forward to the new challenges and responsibilities that the rank will bring. I am also looking forward to effectively using my background in both the Air Force and the Department of Defense programs"; an official color 8 x 10 NASA lithograph of Stafford in his white space suit, signed and inscribed in black felt tip, "To the Brownes, Best wishes, Tom Stafford"; and an FDC with a cachet honoring the Apollo-Soyuz mission, postmarked at the Kennedy Space Center on July 15, 1972, the launch date of both spacecraft, signed in black felt tip by Stafford and in black ballpoint by cachet artist Robert McCall. In overall very good to fine condition. Accompanied by two original mailing envelopes.
