Original 1965 program for the 39th season of the Harlem Globetrotters, 30 pages, 7.75 x 10.5, signed on the front cover in black ballpoint by Satchel Paige. In fine condition, with light handling wear and central 'portfolio' section detached but present. Paige teamed with Harlem Globetrotters owner Abe Saperstein in the early 1950s to form a baseball version of the Globetrotters. He briefly joined the basketball team and performed a routine in which he would 'pitch' the basketball to Goose Tatum, who would then 'bat' the ball with his arms and round imaginary bases on the court. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
