Superb official color satin-finish 14 x 8.75 photo of the justices of the Burger Court, affixed to its original 18 x 13.75 mount, signed on the mount in ink by Potter Stewart, William O. Douglas, Warren E. Burger, William J. Brennan, Jr., Byron R. White, Lewis F. Powell, Jr., Thurgood Marshall, Harry A. Blackmun, and William H. Rehnquist. The reverse bears an ink stamp, "Mr. Justice Blackmun," perhaps indicating that it originally belonged to him or was requested by him. In fine condition, with a bump/short tear to the top edge, easily matted out. This iteration of the Burger Court lasted from 1972 to 1975, and it handed down two especially significant rulings in Roe v. Wade (1973, in a decision written by Blackmun) and United States v. Nixon (1974, in a decision written by Burger). A desirable fully signed portrait of this historically important Supreme Court.
