Scottish chemist (1852-1916) who discovered the noble gases and won the 1904 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. ALS signed “W. Ramsay,” one page, 5 x 8, February 12, 1906. In part: "I was under the impression that I had acknowledged the receipt of the cheque from the Phil. Society; but I found the receipt in my table tonight, so I cannot have done so. Please excuse the delay." In fine condition, with a bit of light toning.
