45 RPM single record for 'Dance the Night Away," signed on the front of the sleeve in blue felt tip by Eddie Van Halen. In fine condition, with light edge creasing. The record is included.
Beginning in 1984, Brennan followed and saw Van Halen 15 times in different cities. The passionate autograph collector recalled, “Van Halen opened for Black Sabbath in 1977 and from then on, until David Lee Roth left, I saw every tour.” One time, at the Meadowlands in 1984, he was hanging out with Julian Lennon. “We were in a bathroom, and Eddie was walking around carrying a bottle of Jack Daniels and saying how he was a better piano player than guitar player. The whole band was fawning all over Julian because they were huge fans of his dad. All I cared about was autographs. I was there for Van Halen.” From The John Brennan In-person Autograph Collection.
