Minimum Bid: $500.00
Sold Price: $7,918.80 (includes buyer's premium)

Official Reach American League (Cronin) baseball signed in blue ballpoint on the sweet spot and side panels by 27 members of the 1961 New York Yankees team, including: Mickey Mantle (sweet spot), Yogi Berra (sweet spot), Roger Maris, Whitey Ford, Wally Moses, Clete Boyer, Roland Sheldon, Bobby Richardson, Bill Stafford, Tony Kubek, Ralph Houk, Elston Howard, Hector Lopez, Earl Torgeson, Tom Tresh, Bob Cerv, Jim Coates, Ralph Terry, Tex Clevenger, Bobby Richardson, Bud Daley, John Sain, Bill 'Moose' Skowron, Billy Gardner, Luis Arroyo, Bob Hale, and Jim Hegan. In very good to fine condition, with toning from a light coating of shellac; all signatures are crisp and bold. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from JSA, and a letter from the consignor stating that this was obtained from famed New York Yankees pitcher Don Larsen, who threw a perfect game in the 1956 World Series. A highly sought-after Yankees team—following a regular season that featured an epic and record-breaking home run race between Mantle and Maris, the '61 Yanks won the World Series in five games. The historic club is often mentioned as a candidate for the greatest team in baseball history. A truly remarkable team-signed baseball.
