Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “George R.,” one page, 15.25 x 11, March 17, 1763. King George appoints Robert Hamilton to be "Colonel in Our One Hundred and Eight Regiment of Foot Whereof John Scott Esq. preferred was late Colonel in Our Army in Ireland, and likewise to be a Captain of a Company in Our said Regiment." Signed in the upper left corner by the king. In very good to fine condition, with light overall staining, and the start of the signature a bit light.
