Gail Ann Dorsey is an acclaimed American musician and bassist best known for her longtime collaboration with David Bowie. From 1995 through Bowie’s final tour in 2004, she was a key member of his touring band, earning recognition not only for her dynamic bass playing but also for her powerful vocals on live performances of “Under Pressure” and duets with Bowie on songs including “The London Boys” and “Aladdin Sane.” Beyond her celebrated work with Bowie, Dorsey has enjoyed a prolific career performing and recording with artists such as Tears for Fears, Lenny Kravitz, Gwen Stefani, Seal, and The National. She has also released three solo albums showcasing her versatility as a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist.
