Group lot of 13 vintage original NASA photographs of the Apollo 11 spacecraft and its stages during assembly and prior to launch as viewed at the Vehicle Assembly Building and Manned Spacecraft Operations Building at the Kennedy Space Center, each glossy finished, 8 x 10 and 10 x 8, each bearing purple NASA caption text on reverse. Photos include: Apollo 11 crew members Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins during a walkthrough for emergency egress routes; the 81-foot-tall second stage of the Saturn V being stacked atop its S-1C booster; the S-IVB third stage being hoisted on top of the S-II second stage; the command service module mated with its Spacecraft Launch Adapter; the arrival of the second stage, the instrument unit, and the S-IC booster; and several images of the Apollo 11 space vehicle and its mobile launcher during rollout.
