Description
Color glossy 20 x 16 composite photo of the STS-39 crew and various images from their eight-day mission, inscribed in silver ink, "To Kathy Thornton, Many Thanks for your great support as CAPCOM Crew on STS-39,” and signed over their respective images in black felt tip by Michael L. Coats, L. Blaine Hammond, Jr., Gregory J. Harbaugh, Donald R. McMonagle, Guion S. Bluford, Jr., Charles L. Veach, and Richard J. Hieb. The upper portion bears an affixed embroidered mission patch for the STS-39 mission, with an affixed caption to lower photo border certifying its flown status: "This crew patch was flown aboard the Orbiter Discovery, STS-39, April 28-May 6, 1991." In fine condition. Originating from the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation, a portion of the proceeds for the sale of this item will be donated to the ASF.
