Description


Original 17 x 14 NASA x-ray of a pair of A7LB space suit boots for the Apollo 16 mission, dated February 17, 1972, for boots serial numbered 051. This X-ray was taken just two months prior to the mission at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center as a last minute check to see if any foreign objects were present that could compromise the integrity of the suit, such as broken off needle tips used in the suit fabrication and stitching process.
