Flown Beta cloth patch featuring the NASA 'meatball' logo flown on the Skylab 2 (SLM-1) mission, 3.75˝ x 3.75˝, sewn on its original tan Durette fabric backing with Velcro strip at the top, signed and flight-certified on the reverse in black felt tip, "Flown on Skylab I, From my personal collection, Paul Weitz, PLT." In fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of provenance signed by Weitz, in part: "The NASA 'Meatball' emblem displayed with this letter was originally on one of my tan inflight jackets that I wore during the first manned Skylab mission. Skylab I was the first flight to the Skylab space station which had a duration of 28 days during 1973. As our mission progressed, worn crew clothing was routinely disposed of after several days of use. Prior to disposal into the large aft waste tank, I removed this emblem from my jacket."
