Detailed 1:232-scale metal model of the Saturn V S-IC first stage, measuring 17˝ in length and 4˝ wide, featuring the stage’s distinctive black-and-white exterior scheme with red “USA” and “S-IC” markings, five detailed F-1 engines, exterior piping and structural components, and intricate internal framework visible at the forward end. The model is accompanied by its wooden display base and a metal model of the mobile floor structure used to transport the S-IC stage at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, the Michoud Assembly Facility, and Kennedy Space Center. According to the consignor, the model was used in numerous meetings at Marshall Space Flight Center. The S-IC rests either on the mobile floor structure or independently on the wooden base. In very good to fine condition, with scattered wear from use; the mobile floor structure exhibits heavier wear and is missing several components.
