Two-piece group of Apollo space suit hardware manufactured by Airlock Corp., consisting of a red gas outlet connector and blue pressure relief valve. The red anodized aluminum outlet connector, measuring 2.75 x 1.5, was designed to connect the suit’s exhaust hose, carrying gas from the pressure garment to the Primary Life Support System (PLSS). The fully functional connector is marked “A7LB-109016-04, SN-1098, ASSY 9358-04,” and features three gold-tone locking tabs, open-and-closed directional markings, mounting flange, and gasket.
The blue anodized aluminum pressure relief valve, measuring 2 x 1.25, is marked “Assy 9334-04, SN-1069.” Designed to protect the Apollo pressure suit against accidental over-pressurization, the valve was specified to open at pressures between 5.1 and 5.75 psia and close at 5.0 psia. Together, the two components represent complementary elements of the Apollo suit’s pressure and ventilation systems. In overall fine condition, with light wear and scratches.
