Description

People’s Choice Award presented to Robin Williams as “Favorite Male Performer in a New Television Program” at the 5th Annual People’s Choice Awards in 1979. The substantial crystal award, 13.75˝ tall with a square base of 4˝, is neatly engraved on the front: “The People’s Choice Award, 1979, Robin Williams, Favorite Male Performer in a New Television Program.” The award takes the shape of a flame and is etched with the image of hands clapping. In fine condition.

Accompanied by a glossy 8 x 10 wire photo picturing Williams holding this very award, which he received for his breakout role as the alien Mork on ABC’s Mork & Mindy. At the 1979 People’s Choice Awards, Mork & Mindy also won Favorite New TV Comedy Program and Favorite Overall New TV Program, while co-star Pam Dawber was named Favorite Female Performer in a New TV Program.
