Flown Soyuz TMA-13M/ISS cover, 6.5 x 4.5, featuring a color image of the mission crew and signed by nine astronauts and cosmonauts who served together during Expeditions 40 and 41: Maxim Suraev, Alexander Gerst, Reid Wiseman, Steve Swanson, Alexander Skvortsov, Oleg Artemyev, Elena Serova, Alexander Samokutyaev, and Barry Wilmore. The cover bears three onboard ISS markings: an octagonal International Space Station cachet, an official Russian Segment postal cancellation dated May 29, 2014, the date TMA-13M docked with the ISS, and a large Russian Segment cachet dated November 10, 2014, corresponding to the crew's departure and return to Earth. Launched aboard Soyuz TMA-13M, Suraev, Gerst, and Wiseman arrived at the International Space Station on May 29, 2014, joining Expedition 40 Commander Steve Swanson and flight engineers Alexander Skvortsov and Oleg Artemyev to restore the station to its full six-person complement. Following the departure of Swanson, Skvortsov, and Artemyev in September, Suraev assumed command of Expedition 41; later that month, Soyuz TMA-14M delivered Barry Wilmore, Alexander Samokutyaev, and Elena Serova, completing the Expedition 41 crew.
Particularly noteworthy are the cover's dated onboard markings, which span virtually the entirety of their mission: the May 29th cancellation coincides with TMA-13M's arrival at the station, while the November 10th marking corresponds to the date of the crew's return to Earth in Kazakhstan, concluding a 165-day mission.
