Two glossy 9 x 7 press photographs depicting the immediate aftermath of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre, consisting of crime scene photographs showing victims of the infamous February 14, 1929, gangland slayings inside Chicago's SMC Cartage garage. Both are later restrikes, one depicting the iconic overhead view of six victims sprawled across the garage floor, the other offering a closer angle of several victims lying along the wall. The reverse of each photograph bears news service stamps, editorial markings, and/or captions, including Wide World Photos, United Press International, and Acme newsphoto markings. In overall very good to fine condition, with scattered marks, light rippling, and an impression to the overhead image from caption on reverse.
