(Walt Disney Studios, 1939) Original concept model sheet drawing of the Big Bad Wolf for the Silly Symphonies short film The Practical Pig. Attributed to artist Frank Follmer, the model sheet contains over 10 conceptual sketches of the film’s antagonist, including full-figure poses of the wolf in disguise as a mailman and mermaid, and close-up sketches of his head, hands, and feet. Accomplished in graphite on untrimmed 12 x 9 artist's paper, signed in the lower left with his initials, "F. F.,” and the upper portion entitled, “Practical Pig.” In fine condition, with some toning to borders. Follmer worked at Walt Disney Studios from the late 1930s through the early 1940s, assisting on projects like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, and Fantasia.
