Accomplished in graphite and colored pencil on untrimmed 12 x 10 animation paper, with Donald's head rendered in clean graphite linework over a red pencil underdrawing and the bird remaining in a looser developmental sketch; the final version featured a much smaller and cuter bluebird. Total character image measures 10 x 8. In fine condition, with a tiny stain to the right side.
