Flown swatch of white Beta cloth, 1.75˝ x 1.75˝, removed from the mission payload bay liner of Space Shuttle Columbia (OV-102) following the STS-109 mission, mounted to an 8.5 x 11 laminated display sheet with mission insignias, an image of Columbia in orbit, mission specifications, and descriptive text identifying the artifact as a section of the orbiter's payload bay liner removed during processing for STS-107 at Kennedy Space Center in 2002. The reverse bears a signed certificate of authenticity from Jeffrey J. Soulliere, former Space Shuttle Program employee and U.S. Space Walk of Fame Foundation artifacts agent, certifying the artifact as authentic and flown, dated April 22, 2004. Included with the Beta cloth are three commemorative covers: an STS-2 cacheted cover signed by the crew of Joe Engle and Richard H. Truly, and by noted space artist Robert T. McCall; a Second Shuttle Orbiter Landing cover signed by Engle and Truly; and an STS-61B mission cacheted cover signed by astronauts Brewster H. Shaw, Sherwood C. Spring, and Charles D. Walker.
