- TLS signed "Dad," one page, 7.25 x 10, personal letterhead, January 11 ,1928. In part: "I hope you arrived at school all right, and by this time you are comfortably located. I am sure you are going to like it up there, and if you keep your feet on the ground, everything will work out as you would like to have it. IF you should require any place to put your money for a checking account for expenses, I would suggest that you get in touch with the National Tradesmens Bank and Trust Company of New Haven, if this bank is located conveniently for you."
- TLS signed "Dad," one page, 7.25 x 10, personal letterhead, January 27 ,1928. In part: "It makes me damn mad to find unpaid bills like this running over so long. There is no excuse for it. I sent a check for this yesterday. What have you got to say about it?"
